Tatiana Orozco—widely known as Tata Oro—is a Colombian-born curly hair specialist, entrepreneur, and educator whose mission is simple yet powerful: to help women embrace their natural texture and feel beautiful in their own curls.
After struggling with damaged hair herself, Tata began her own curl journey, restoring her natural texture through careful research, DIY treatments, and eventually formal training. What began as a personal transformation quickly turned into a movement. As she puts it:

From Colombia to Orlando: Building a Brand From Scratch
Tata moved from Colombia to the U.S. with a dream—but no roadmap. As an immigrant, mother, and Spanish speaker in a new country, she started over completely. What she brought with her was passion, skill, and an unshakable belief in the power of curls.
She established her salon services in Orlando, Florida (at Akro Beauty Studios), offering what she calls the “Curl Experience”: an educational and transformational appointment that includes personalized consultations, dry curly cuts, deep hydration treatments, and styling tutorials.
Her motto?
“El cabello rizado no es rebelde, solo necesita amor y atención.”
(“Curly hair isn’t unruly—it just needs love and care.”)
